Which type of massage should I book?

If you are unsure, book a 60-minute Registered Massage Therapy session and the RMT will assess and recommend the right technique. For structural cases, book the specific modality directly. For swelling, fluid retention, or post-surgical recovery, start on the lymphatic drainage pages instead.

Do all RMTs direct bill?

Yes. Direct billing for massage therapy is available for most major Ontario extended health insurers. Bring your benefits card to your first visit.

Are your RMTs trained in prenatal care?

Yes. All six RMTs are certified in prenatal massage and adapt their technique to each trimester.

What is the difference between RMT and relaxation massage?

RMT is regulated, assessment-based, and covered by most extended health plans. The session begins with an intake, includes specific techniques matched to the case, and ends with a treatment summary. Relaxation massage at a spa is wellness-only and is not insurance-eligible.

What is craniosacral therapy?

Craniosacral therapy is a gentle hands-on technique that works with the membranes and fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord to release tension and improve mobility. Catherine Dawe delivers craniosacral work as part of customized sessions for clients with chronic tension or trauma-related patterns.
